After buying a ticket to LA, the flight was the reason for waking up every night. Furthermore, the commentaries of people around me weren't very supporting. The closer people believed in me, the others considered me an outsider who would cancel it in the end anyway. If you are 22 years old girl, it might be bigger adrenaline than bungee jumping. I didn't want to board a plane to Moscow at all (suprisingly, for those days in July it was the cheapest option). The neverending, 7 hours lasting layover was made even longer by some New Yorker who told me I am boring because I wasn't very into playing word games. It scared me that all people could be there like this and I might be really alone since then. When we were boarding, I was watching the people and asking what their destinies were. "That 5o year old guy with long red hair must be a weirdo.." If you ever say something like this, you can be sure your seat is right next to him. I decided to leave my prejudice in the end (girl, you're going to live in Venice for a while!!) and calmly kept on answering him. Turned out Edie works for Bucket List Travel Club and travels all around the world somehow. And he introduced me to me Uber, which happened to be great helper for the rest of the trip.
